Newcastle Theatre Company is proud to present the play, Pack of Lies. The play is based on real events during the Cold War. It’s 1960. A British suburban family is visited by a man from the government. He wants to observe their neighbours, in particular, their best friends. Seven years earlier, America had executed accused spies Ethel and Julius Rosenberg. Is it Britain’s turn? Are there degrees of betrayal? Where should loyalties lie?
