Scenes from Chopin - Music, Pictures and Words

Description: To mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of Frederic Chopin in 1810, twelve acclaimed local pianists will give a recital of the great composer’s works at Adamstown Uniting Church, at 7.30pm, Saturday, 14th August. Newcastle’s own piano man, Philip Sketchley, will talk about Chopin’s life and music, and show scenes of the places he lived, including Poland and Paris. Admission, which includes supper, is $20adult, $15 concession, $10 child, proceeds to the church's music ministry. Bookings and enquiries phone 4961 5955.
