Careful you might break something
- Description:
- Leanne Barrett's sculptural work is a series of symbols for the collective sadness and unease that hangs over her community from mining and exploration. These symbols are being combined with the clay feet of people from Bridget Nicholson's "touch this earth lightly" project, who likewise, are concerned with the manner in which we treat the environment. Bringing these elements together, Stuart St Hill will perform a lament on trumpet live at the opening and then the recording will continue to be part of the installation.
At Gloucester Gallery, Denison St Gloucester 2422. For more information ph 0428 508 704 or visit

A British suburban family is visited by a man from the government. He wants to observe their neighbours, in particular, their best friends. Seven years earlier, America had executed accused spies Ethel and Julius Rosenberg. Is it Britain’s turn? Are there degrees of betrayal? Where should loyalties lie?
Pack of Lies plays August 13 to 28. For bookings phone (02) 4952 4958, between 3pm and 6pm, Monday to Friday.
